I had it since April, and the GP has referred me to an ENT specialist, with an appointment at the end of November. The effects I can only describe as a partial cold, and I’d really like to get rid of them or subdue them if possible.

I cycle with a heart rate monitor and whilst I can cycle, I’m having to work harder to maintain the same avg speed than I did without it. Hence wanting to subdue the effects.

Today I went for a walk as as soon as I got hot, the effects went but all the snot blocked my nose! Not helpful when my first race albeit novice cat is looming!

Sudefed and steam baths don’t help!

Anyone have any suggestions?

I found Beconase worked well for me when I had a six month bout of it.

I use Sterimar (recommended by an ENT specialist). Keeps things reasonably well washed out, still get bad bouts every now and again.

You also need to find what triggers it, for me coffee and alcohol always make it worse frown

you have the rhino pot?

I have one but only use it when post-nasal drip gets bad, do you recommend doing ti every day no matter how I feel?

I use decongestants now and again (spray not tablet) as its not pleasant but livable.

no the regular squirty bottle neilmed kit. I don't use it al the time, but do sometimes even when things are relatively clear, it seems to help. and then daily if sinuses are getting sore. I have pretty much given up on sprays, I have some steroid spray knocking around, but dont use routinely, I think it may make things worse in the long term.

I do exactly the same as above. I also use it at the first signs of a sore throat or if I get a cold.
