New Car - F10 M5 - Marmite colour

Picked this up yesterday, all I can say so far is that I love it.
I have a Z4m and M235i, both I though quite rapid machines. This is a different league and the amount of gadgets etc you get is amazing.
I want to get the side gills changed to gloss black from chrome (had the wheels painted before I picked it up), but struggling to find anywhere in the UK selling them and 120 quid shipping from the states seems a little heavy.

I saw some photos before it was done and it looked pretty good. Plus when you wrap a car dents etc stand out a mile. Worst case is I get it wrapped in a more normal colour. Car has only done 20k miles, so it would have had to have had a pretty bad life to be in too much of a state. The wrap is also professionally installed with handles off etc, so I am hoping no knife marks everywhere!C7 JFW said:
Great for theatre, however, the whole premise of an M5 (really), is to fly discretely from A to B with minimal police attention.
This would blend well in Dubai or Park Lane.
Sadly I don't think a speed gun cares about the colour of a car. Not really that concerned about any other police attention. Most people who worry about that don't drive a bright orange car, probably a black one! 😀 This would blend well in Dubai or Park Lane.

I think the point the poster was trying/did make was that the whole ethos of the M5 was Q car. Don’t look at me. Your car is a nice colour, but lost it’s M5 ness, if that makes sense.

I'm still not sure about the colour myself, I was going to get a metallic blue one but there is something a little fun about the "carrot" as my daughter calls it. So far I've not had any negative comments on the road, which I was expecting tbh.
Lovely colour, looks like the shade of orange that was on some USA market Z3MC's many years ago. Kyalami Orange/Orangeblur?
