Looking to help my friends wife find a car. She suffers from back pain and can only drive autos.

Budget is £5k, must be auto and comfy and reliable. Needs to be small maximum focus size.

They are thinking 2008 A-Class but that sounds recipe for disaster to me. I'm thinking something like a 2011 Kia Ceed with bit of warranty left. What else is there, I'm not to familiar with older small autos.

Cheers

Matt

The Kia ceed is a good shout. Perhaps a 2010/2011 automatic Ford Fiesta? Can pick up sub 40k mileage ones for around £5k.

Honda Jazz Auto. Not a PH favourite, but favourite with folks.

Don't know what he paid but my neighbour has just bought an auto 2010 Hyundai i30 that was owned by the company he works for.

I was looking at it earlier today when he was washing it. Very tidy & only 40k, used by the Comany Secretary apparently.

I drive a Merc as my daily but I'd never want an older one of any sort!!

Nissan Note.

Torque convertor auto with a naturally aspirated 1.6. It's got a raised seat and tall cabin so is quite good for people with limited mobility.

The Mito might be worth a look. A friend has had one for three years of mixed London and M-way motoring and it hasn't missed a beat. She loves it.

Second that; we have one (a 1.5 auto) and it's marvellous. I absolutely adore it.
