Popped along to APM
Discussion
Am still considering another cerb (or a 911 or an M5 - sorry!) and so popped into see Andy at APM. Loved the racing Cerb he is building (Gary where are you !).
But to be honest he is looking after some less than perfect cerbs, I thought mine wasnt exactly immaculate but there are some out there with pretty needy bodies, interiors and mechanicals. think it might be harder that I thought to find a good one!

Depends what your budget is IMO.
The sub £20k'ers I saw were not up to what they should be. However that doesnt mean to say there arent some very nice ones under £20k I just didnt personally seem them :-)
So I paid a "little" more and got a very tidy one, after a bit of haggling on price etc.
£22-£25k would seem to get you a very nice Cerb. Above that and you are entering LW territory, £26k+.
I guess it also depends on 4.2 or 4.5 the 4.2's are a shade less expensive.
It took me 3-4 weeks to find one.

Hindsight.... I sold my Grif to a dealer for £15,500 2years 10 months after I bought it for £29,950. I was only asking £19k, then £18k, then £17k....
At the time, they just werent moving, especially private, there were loads about. Even though mine was very clean, FTVRSH, no one would touch it.
I couldnt get a Grif for £15k these days, that is anywhere near the condition my one was, and they are all milers.
Sometimes happens. Just keep looking. Something will come up.

I sold my 98 4.5 a year ago with everything replaced eg engine etc... All it needed was nitrons and a few scratches and was perfect! Should have asked for 22K for it and not £18K !
Your not kidding, I sold my 98 4.5 last year for £23500. It was a pretty good car to start with, needed a bit doing here and there, but not excessive amounts.
