Annoyingly Google are removing the Google finance portfolio feature at the end of the month.

I have all my positions stored in here to provide a nice portfolio view of everything I hold in a single place. I like the fact that you can track all your buys and sells and see the overall position in a single line for each stock and a graph of the overall.

Does anyone know of an alternative to this. I used to use iii in a similar way but it was rubbish in comparison.

Wallmine portfolios - it has the simple and clear view of both individual transactions and portfolios I liked Google Finance for. And the switch from Google Finance was almost effortless.

You can use google sheets to pull in stock quotes so its very easy to setup a spreadsheet of your portfolio that way.

Example: https://www.reinisfischer.com/simple-google-spread...

Another vote for Google sheets. Enter =googlefinance("LON:AA","price") in a cell and the price will appear. Works for other attributes such as today's change, %age change. You can enter your holdings and calculate total values, changes, etc.

I can't seem to get it to work for funds, though. A quick check of Google seems to suggest it's not just me.

If the fund is listed I'd have thought you would be able to find its ticker symbol e.g. Trojan income fund =googlefinance("MUTF_GB:TROY_TROJ_INCO_L2BN53","price")

Is it specific funds, or all funds?

These funds work for me...

Vanguard LifeStyle 80%
=GOOGLEFINANCE("VANG_LIFE_80_1MOSZN3", "price")

Fundsmith Equity T Acc
=GOOGLEFINANCE("MUTF_GB:FUND_EQUI_T_1UJO18H", "price")

Thank you, these work - but where do you get these links from? I.e. what does "1UJO18H" refer to in this context?

It’s what google calls the fund. See in the search box at the top here for an example: https://finance.google.co.uk/finance?q=MUTF_GB%3AA...

Thanks, that's very helpful. I've not used Google Finance before so was thinking it was some marker I'd not heard of!

thanks for pointing that out. I've been using wallmine for quite some time and haven't heard about a paid subscription.

Google finance portfolios are still available, but use this address for UK - https://finance.google.co.uk/finance. For US https://finance.google.com
