Time is not measured in sleeps. I'm just saying.

My sleep has been improving over the last few days thankfully. i go to bed at about 11pm and stay that way until i wake up at 7am. before I'd end up waking up anywhere between 4-6pm and have trouble getting back to sleep until it gets closer to 7.
I feel your pain and well done. Sometimes I've found it helps counting sleeps to Christmas, as it beats the boring old sheep method..ambuletz said:

Being able to stay in bed for 8 hours in a row is for me a fond memory. Enjoy it while it lasts, in years to come you'll be measuring nights by how many times you had to get up.bernhund said:
Once a day or once a night? See it can all get confusing for the little children. It's best just to tell them how many days until Christmas really.
But then is Christmas Day included it not ... sleeps is much much easier for kids since it straddles both days technically - you could just use nights as well Adults counting sleeps amongst themselves is council - for children though I disagree

So how do you explain time to young children who have no idea of the concept?
If they're young enough to have no concept of time, then it doesn't matter how many <units> it is, because they don't understand the concept of time.If they're old enough to understand the concept of time, then why confuse them by using baby-talk units?
