996 C2 - Which Replacement Engine Mounts (Road Use Only)
Discussion
Think that replacement engine mounts would be one of the most cost effective improvements to my 1998 C2 manual with 143k on the clock.
The car is quite hard on the factory fit sports pack (MO30, 18" Hollow spokes etc) but I'm certainly not worried about more refinement (given the choice I'd opt for a rawer car for sure).
I've seen quite a lot of love for semi-solid RSS mounts, are these likely to provide any discernible benefits over new OEM ones? Any others people recommend?
Many thanks!

Using the RSS Mounts for my 996 turbo. No complaints. Fitted them around 3 years ago. You get more engine noise in the cab (which I love) and improved handling. A good choice for me. I think it all depends on what you are after. I went for the RS option, picked partly because I liked the idea of original Porsche bits: http://www.carnewal.com/products/P96/p96189/RS-Mot...
Interestingly, perhaps, I'm sure they were listed as 964 RS parts when I bought them, now they're described as 993 RS. Perhaps the two cars use the same part anyway.
As described above; the rear of the car feels tighter, and engine noise in the car increased.

I can recommend the 9products ones, '65' street grade. Same spec of car by the sounds of it.

Thanks guys, I've ordered the RSS semi-solid ones based on all the feedback and the price - using the 5% 911UK discount code still about £409 from Design911
Hopefully along with a 997.2 GT3 gear linkage, very good secondhand 3 spoke steering wheel (old 4 spoke feels so worn with cracking leather that I felt this a very worthwhile upgrade) and an airbag deactivation (for my smaller passengers!) they will be some very worthwhile upgrades, really improving the touch-points of the car.

Another option are semi-solids by Wevo
Both will improve responsiveness and any mass shift of engine on hard cornering. The trade-off being cabin noise. If you have after market exhaust or sports you may not notice much extra noise.
It might be beneficial to harden the transmission mounts too.
