This guy did some industrial scale blagging at Paris Fashion Week
https://www.vice.com/en_uk/article/59d8v5/i-bullsh...

Best I've managed was persuading some Italians at the Milan Motorcycle Show to let me into the VIP area for a Benelli launch party. Free champagne, meeting with the bosses, chatted up some dancers and got a T-shirt and nice book smile

Any stories of blagging your way into places you shouldn't be?

I blagged my way into a Ferrari concours in Marlow couple of months ago.

Being mature of age and driving a "special" Fiat may have helped.

Bloke on gate said some had been turned away but he "didn't see me".

me and a few mates blagged our way onto the Lamborghini stand at the Frankfurt motorshow.

This was the year when they were revealing the Reventon. We weren't allowed to sit in that, but the Gallardo superleggera and the Murcielago were fun to make brum noises in whilst journalists were getting all snotty about us photo bombing.

A friend of ours who was fairly well off, rang a family member, who contacted Lambourghini. I'm really still not sure how he managed it to this day, considering it took all of about half an hour from us coming across the display, to being ushered onto the platform. I didn't question it at the time. First and last time I will sit in a Lamborghini I suspect :S

or maybe it just wasn't that special and they invited everyone up, but we didn't see anybody else up there over the next few days.

I managed to get in a Bugatti EB110 at the Motorshow once. Judging by the way I was asked to leave I don't think I should have been in there! One bonus was that whoever had been in before me had dropped their change so I made a few quid out of it too! biggrin

I used a BMW keyring to get access to BMW Hospitality area at the BTCC once, although not the "full" VIP package, I was able to avoid paying for soft drinks/tea and coffee for the day, and got to meet whoever their drivers were at the time for a quick photo op (which I didn't take up)

I did own a BMW but had arrived at the event in my Land Rover and happened to have a generic BMW keyring attached
