Whilst surfing the site I often find that my browser's back button doesn't achieve what I want it to.

Looking in the history list I find some extra "pages".

To wit -

http://65.57.104.91/a/RealMedia/statsco

I don't mind statistics being gathered - I know they're necessary for marketing the site to advertisers.

It would be nice if it didn't get in the way of the back button user interface, though.

Thought this might be useful, Ted. I'd be very grateful if, when looking next at the area, you could have a look.

Thanks!

Don,

If you've got time could you let me know the URLs of the pages before and after that one?

Thanks,
Ted

Can't reproduce it at the mo' Ted - but I'm on a different PC (went to "work"! ).

I'll have a go again tonight...

Does the URL look like something you recognise?

Could it be a problem with my PC - nothing to with PH I wonder? I will run a comprehensive Virus/Spyware destruction run later...

I was getting this on sunday.

Load a page, thread, ad, whatever.

The realmedia advert stream gets placed as the last visted site in your history and you cant go back.

RealMedia serve ads into PH, so it's something to do with them - they're investigating the problem at the moment.

Does it do it consistently? (working for me so I can't tell).

Strange... I cannot back out of this thread!!

I came in to see what the problem was (I was having to double click the back button to get out of stuff, which always seems to work when the problem occurs), and as soon as I get here I can't get back out again (even by double clicking, which is a first!).

Anyway, for me it is doing it on nearly every page I visit at the moment.

Does it on every page at work and started around this last weekend, very frustrating. My PC at home never does it though.

I even removed Java as I thought that was causing it. The only other thing I can think of is I've set the firewall at work up differently.

Hope it's fixed soon.

Ted if you want me to tell you any settings or pages here feel free to drop me an e-mail
