Lease return - report on wear and tear
Discussion
Hi all,
I've just finished a 2 year lease on a fiesta black edition, other than a kerbed wheel and a few other light scratches (to the lacquer) the cars pretty much as new, the guy who came to collect it filled out a report based upon his visual inspection and said all the marks would be classed as fair wear and tear (2 years/30K miles).
I had to sign the report on his tablet, and I then received an email with photos of the various stone chips/light scratches however the report states scratches down to primer which they clearly are not.
Subsequently I've now received an email from Arval to say they have received the report and will be providing a bill for the repairs, I haven't received this yet but any good bodyshop probably wouldn't even bother given age and mileage, but the report states scratches to primer...
How should I play this assuming the worst?
