I’ll volunteer my own thoughts to start. Not iconic enough to warrant the attention. Not different enough to warrant the price tag. A calculated marketing stunt that does a disservice to everyone involved.

Not the first Bamford/DSM collab and surely not the last but I do wonder who buys this stuff and what they see in it. With Bamford being officially partnered with Tag I hope we eventually see a complete from scratch watch...that would be far more interesting that just dipping everything in black paint.

A friend of mine has one of the first daytonas they did - a vintage one.

Once i had got over

a) the fact that they had done it to a vintage daytona
b) the price

I had to concede that it looked really smart.

And apparently it can be undone without harming the watch below.

Here's a couple of Zeniths they also ruined. One on the right a Ltd Ed of 1000 which thankfully I have an unspoiled version!.

I would love a blue faced Rolex Explorer ... sadly Rolex dont make one..... so this type of design house is the only hope i have .... sadly Rolex will not work with any of them in the way TAG is working with Bamford

I would be very interested to hear if these new TAGs are manufactured to OEM spec. If the black paint chips off and everything is applied after manufacture it seems pointless.

I'm not a fan of those bracelets....and there's something not quite right about these.

I've got an "Heuer" piece which I love to bits. Probably massively overpriced, but I was lured in with the original JH80 limited edition Carrera that came out a few years back. I sadly couldn't get my hands on one when available, but I did get the next best thing and picked up the so-called "JH81" with the gorgeous dark back.

I'm looking out for a Zenith for my next piece....

Having just visited the website and realised what this is all about, I can definitely say it's not to my taste. It might be personalised but they all seem to look like knock-offs. Maybe in the flesh they look better?
