Ultima's?

I would expect a more race focused car like the ultima or stealth to triumph at vmax. Where are they?

There was an Ultima there, and it out accelerated & outbroke everything. Don't think it was geared up for top speed though.

That was me! Geared to about 160 but it does this 1/3 down the runway. It is pointless bouncing of the rev limit so I back off- great fun through the bends!

I don't know how you can say that, it never ran head-to-head against any of the Rufs to my knowledge. It could well be quicker or brake faster, but that has yet to be tested for the car that was there.

I went against Adam and we did 50mph second gear to around 140 at the start of the runway. Ultima quicker to 100mph then Adam edged forward!

Was Adam in the CTR or the RTurbo?

Gmans car is certainly faster than any of the Ruf's, the stats prove it and I would expect it to easily win VMax if it turns up.

I just assumed it was way quicker than everything else, but was not geared for top speed.

Pulling on the CTR is some achievement.

The CTR is slightly faster than my car up to about 140mph, due to it's significant weight advantage. Above 150mph though my car's power advantage shows and it's faster. Adam has got a head-to-head video we did from 0-190mph that hopefully will be available soon.

We went from a launch with craig starting us and i remember being about 50m ahead by 100mph, then we rounded the corner and went on the straight from 50mph and by 100mph the ctr was very far ahead. I remember giving you the jump also,

I was wondering if any of you guys with an interest in editing video had thought about contacting the 5th Gear team and asking for the footage they shot? Obviously there might be rather a lot (understatement) but there would be some absoloute awsome footage and top quality too.

This could then be sold as the vMax 7 video
