2008-2010 SL - any horror stories to be aware of?

Current lease is coming to an end and looking for a replacement. Am all over the place on what to get next that's nice, isn't too expensive but still retains a bit of a special occasion when driving it.
I have a self I posted budget of around £15k and looking at the 08-10 SL 350 facelifts, boxster, cayman or Z4.
Personal opinion is the SL has more class, the bolster more sporty and I'd probably be bored of the Z4 after a few months.
Seen a few nice looking SL's with around 55-70'ooo miles - is there anything I need to look for particularly or just the usual used car checks and make sure the roof is all working fine? amongst my previous 44 cars I had a 02 CLK cabriolet that was just starting to rust when we sold it - I'm hoping rust is no longer an issue on these newer models?
