The picture quality may be causing problems but I'm not sure it is a Minx.
Didn't the 54 Minx have a lozenge shaped instrument binnacle in the centre? I can't see it.
I can't see the concentric chrome ring in the steering wheel, either, but that could be poor definition of the photo.
Also, I thought the rear door shut finished plumb centre of the top of the rear wheel.

Thank you so much for everyones help. Someone has suggested a Singer SM 1500..........I cant make out a gear change.....the dashboard looks like something in and on the center maybe a large dial/clock?
I will find out some more info about the date it was taken........believe to be 1950's

That's a four door Austin A30/A35.
You can see the centre speedo binnacle with indicator switch above. Large diameter wheel with twin spoke and the classic Austin centre puck.
The trailing edge base of the door is also typically rounded as is the roof line around the door aperture. The chrome hubs are also typical of the standard car.
