987 S - Horse-shoe or Pin-type brake pads? (Photo attached)
Discussion
Hi everyone. I've just had the brake pad warning light come up on my dashboard. Looking at the pads the rears look most worn although the outer pad does appear to have about 4-5mm remaining.
Can anyone tell by looking at this image if I need the Horse-shoe or Pin-type brake pads for my 2006 Cayman S? Sorry for the poor quality but it was the best I could get without removing the wheel. Thanks.

What this guy says - I reused my bolts and dampers (with a TINY bit of copper grease on the back of each damper) and be really, really careful when removing the retaining pin. Make sure you use the correct pin punch. The back is usually OK, but the fronts can be a right beatch because of all the extra dust and heat generated at the front...Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
