£50k to spend on car

In the next six months I will have approx 50k to spend on a car currently have an SQ5 and a c32amg (This hasn't been used for 3 months) the merc will be sold, my shortlist is R8, Porsche turbo 997 and Aston V12 any other ideas? I am leaning towards the R8 and know I may have to spend slightly more to get the V10
We will be keeping the SQ5 so the other car will be a weekend car that will be garaged in the winter, I normally use a van to get to work so will only be a "toy"

You may just manage to get a 997 GTS with a bit of mileage.

Far better drivers car than the turbo.

Meant to say I want something that will not lose too much money as well, think the R8, Porsche turbo/gts and the Aston will hold there value pretty well, not too worried about running/service costs as used to own TVR'S and every service was £1000 plus

You'll be doing to well to find a good V12 Vantage for £50k.

£50k wont get you a 997 turbo, should get a reasonable mileage 996 turbo though.

Turbo prices have risen steadily and will no doubt be even more expensive by the time you are ready to buy.

To replace my 997.2 C4S today, I would need to find another £10k and that is in just 2 years, crazy situation.

The first interim service on mine was nearly £2k, the turbo is in a completely different league.

There are a lot of 997 turbos between £42-£50k didn't look at Gts though and I know the R8 is going to be £55k, after a car that looks good goes great and doesn't lose too much money, thought about Bentley GT but my brother in law has a speed six and other Bentley's don't look so good in comparison and I haven't got speed six money

The only other thing I am looking for is something quicker than I currently own the C32 is remapped with smaller pulley so 0-60 4 to 4.5 and the SQ5 is standard 5.1 want something that feels and is quicker

I'd say the Maserati Granturismo 4.7 in MC Shift or Auto form, these are a great car they're not depreciating strongly & they're a good drive mine always put a smile on my face, it also had the rare knack of being able to make driving at 30mph every bit as enjoyable (albeit in a different way) as when you start to press on.

DB9 if you want a V12 Aston then these are worth a look just make sure you fit okay, I couldn't & ended up buying the Maser which surprisingly turned out to be a better car out of the two.

Corvette Z06 These are just stunning the performance is superb & then there's the noise, the interior isn't up to Audi standards but a V8 R8 wouldn't know which way the Z06 went & it would give the V10 a very hard time.
