As they saying goes, Exercise for fitness & diet for weight loss. I currently have the first one sorted but being let down by the send.

Diet is much healthier than it was, probably 1 takeaway a month and most meals cooked at home from scratch. However where I am struggling is I like to snack.

At the moment I find myself snacking on crisps/biscuits (not too much on the chocolate) and I'm currently wondering if people have a not too expensive alternative for snacks like these which I can make myself

I have started making my own snacks, I make Protein brownies and Banana bread once a week and take it to work with me.

Its really easy one you get into it.

Seems that nuts are a good way to snack, I guess I need something to help me feel full rather than finding healthier snacks

The recipe I know for flapjacks involves a lot of butter and sugar, do you swap these for anything?

Unsalted mixed nuts and raisins, also unsalted cashews.

Take a bit of getting used to but very nice.

There are no good snacks. Seriously. They are all either complete ste (crisps), or sugar (flapjacks, even fruit), or very calorie dense (nuts).

Far better to eat more filling meals and don't snack at all. I prefer keto and IF, but other approaches work. None of the working ones involve biscuits.

I agree, snacking just makes me hungry. Healthy but filling meals and no snacks works for me.

Be very careful with nuts - they're very calorie-dense, so what seems like a small amount packs a lot of calories and fat, and it's really easy to just keep grabbing "just a couple more".

As a snacker / grazer myself, I find things like carrot sticks, mushrooms, and fruits work well (even frozen, diced fruit can be great to just grab a piece of) - there can be a transition period as your body get used to not having the salt and processed sugar hit from crisps etc. With fruit, be wary of dried / dehydrated fruit - they can be another trap calorie-wise as they're far denser than the raw product.

Fresh fruit.
You often hear all kinds of nonsense about being full of sugar/carbs - this is typically true.

However, most fresh fruits are low in calories, very rich in vitamins and minerals as well as fibre and 'good' carbs. You cannot do better.

Beef jerky/Biltong
Nuts
berries (blueberries are a favourite of mine)
I also will slice up a saucisse finely and nibble on those from time to time. Might start to get a little greasy towards the end of the day if there's no fridge handy tho.

Eggs are brilliant, I have three eggs scrambled for breakfast and I can go till lunch time without feeling remotely hungry.

I'm not a massive snacker but I am a sucker for the biscuit tin at work, but only because they are there, if if it's empty or has biscuits that I don't like, I just go without, I don't then go off to the shop to get something.
