I like CRC but their delivery is terrible. Standard delivery takes forever and tracking never works. Next day doesn’t arrive on time either. It’s the only place I order from and get let down by delivery.

Not what I wanted to hear having ordered a couple of bits last night for a race I have on Sunday and only opted for standard delivery.

I ordered bits from Tredz, Probikekit & CRC at the same time so I guess I will get an idea of whose best based on this. Probikekit are winning so far as have emailed to say my items have been dispatched and should be with me Wednesday.

Chain Reaction and Wiggle are in the process of merging as I understand it. They are having issues merging warehouses currently, I think, which is causing them some slight issues.

Their customer services were very polite, quick acting and apologetic with me. I'll source the part I need locally, and will happily go back to them in a month or two when things have settled down.

They did explain the first time that they were having systems issues when I enquired as to why the order was still 'processing' after a week - and the next thing I knew the order had been cancelled.

Second time around it's just been cancelled without explanation, 72 hours after I placed it.

I ordered some mudguards on Sunday evening, the order is still “processing”....

Ordered the same from Wiggle last night, admittedly on a next day delivery, and they are due to arrive at 11am today....

I’ll let CRC despatch and then return them

Yep, I've never had a good experience with CRC.

I only use them when I have to. Ordered something Saturday 14th, got a dispatch notice first thing on Monday morning and thought great, things have improved.

30 hours later I get a notice saying my delivery is likely to be delayed by at least 24 hours, because of the storm. Ok, these things happen, delivery is the least of the areas troubles.

So I go check the tracking number and it hasn't been dispatched yet. They've blamed the storm, which is a legitimate excuse, but their system shouldn't be providing notice they've sent something when clearly they haven't.

Perhaps I'm expecting too much, but like with a lot of consumer issues, communication and customer service are the let downs.

No problems here. I ordered a pair of Camelbak bottles on Monday, received a despatch email the same day and and have just received an email from Royal Mail to say that they are out for delivery today. That was with the free standard delivery.

Well I received my Pro Bike Kit order this morning & an email last night to say my Tredz order had been dispatched.

But I received an email last night from CRC to say that my order is delayed by 24hrs because of the storm (Which is probably fair enough), just hope it gets here by the weekend.

See this annoys me. How can they say my delivery is delayed because of the storm, despite giving a dispatch email, and yours has been ordered and shipped in the same time. I paid for the express delivery, and it still hasn't been collected by Royal Mail.

I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and say the product you ordered is in a different warehouse and so wasn't impacted by the storm.

Having gone back on the site, the product is showing out of stock in all sizes, so my suspicion is they never had it and are buying time with the storm email.

AAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH

why use the phrase "sorry to hear you feel disappointed". That's not an apology. It's patronising, and suggests I shouldn't feel disappointed in their poor service.

It does nothing to apologise for the delay, or offer any assistance. We the consumers may be to blame for such ste customer service, having all this choice and being fickle means companies have little to gain by ploughing in time and effort to helping people who will just buy from elsewhere.

But do me a fking favour and just say "we cocked up, we'll make sure it gets sent out today, or want your money back?".

Bear in mind a lot of NI companies physically shutdown on Monday / Tuesday due to the inclement weather.

Strangely I’ve just had a despatched email for my mudguards.... :-(

Back in the “good old days”, provided you ordered by 1pm, generally you would get the delivery “next day” even using the standard delivery option.

Two working days to despatch an “in stock” item seems a retrograde step in my view....

CRC have never let me down however I've never used them for anything I needed quickly.

Wiggle on the other hand are consistently excellent.

ETA: I haven't ordered anything from CRC for a few months though and it sounds as if their service has recently become poor.

In all fairness to CRC I've generally found them very good in the past, but the merger is clearly causing them some issues, and the smaller players like Merlin are making strides on service, if not on price and range.

The customer services team have been responsive and clearly tried to get to the bottom of the problem with my orders, so I've so far resisted the temptation to take this particular bit of business elsewhere.

Yeah, tried to allude to the fact the storm was out of anyone's control. st happens. But I received a dispatch notice.

Others are getting dispatch notices, yourself included. I've had no update, and no one at CRC is getting back to me.

I'm now number three in the live chat queue, having started at number five 35 minutes ago!!!!!

I've been using CRC for parts for about 10-12 years, service to Australia has been, on the whole, excellent. Amount needed to get free postage has come down, parts always well packaged, and usually at my front door within 7 days.

To put that in perspective, I just posted some small items back to Blighty through AusPost - weighed less than 100g. Quoted delivery as within 8 working days, cost $9

So, mudgaurds ordered last night @ 2100 from Wiggle, (albeit on a next day service) appeared at 1131 this morning (delivery slot was 1131-1231).

Mudguards from CRC ordered Sunday evening using std delivery and marked as "in stock" confirmed as dispatched this morning with delivery likely Fri/Sat based on past experience....
