I wont pretend im not trying to draw attention to the fact that im actually looking to do this the other way round. When i first bought my sport in 2015 I almost purchased a B8 RS4 instead. I didnt as I just felt at the time that as i had a decent fast car just sitting not being used and was still a few more k than the Sport at the time(plus plastic dash) it wasnt the right one for me. Over 2 years on and I 100% want a B7 RS4(even with plastic dash). I only put my car up today but i mentioned the swap some months ago on a well known audi forum but it doesnt seem to be a popular proposition for the audi B7 masses who are looking to sell or even thinking of it.

Perhaps its the price difference, perhaps its that the Audi can be a one stop shop, space, speed and handling where the Autobiography is slower and softer, perhaps its two cars that dont usually draw the same buyer?

I had a B7 Imola Yellow saloon a few years ago and it's the best car i have ever had, it had everything you want in a sports saloon, rapid, safe, eyecatching and that V8 was immense.

wished i had never got rid.

i even bought the plate RS04 OMG for it.

That was one rare colour, closest I've had to fast saloon was the E46 CSL. Apart from that ive mostly had 4x4's, 911's and a couple of Italian V8's, a 4 door fast car never came into the equation till now.

At first i was only considering the avant to be a swap for the RRS but now i have another less expensive 4x4 for the dogs i dont need an avant and would quite like a saloon.

I’ve always regretted selling my B7, and have bounced around all manner of cars in the three years since it went. It’s only now that I have a R8 V10 Plus that I have something that I like as much.
