435d Gran Coupe - 0% APR - Deal thoughts please
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm considering jumping on one of the 0% APR offers running with BMW until end of Oct.
Been into my local dealership today and they have a car built and ready and offered the following deal so I'd like to hear some of your thoughts...
435d xDrive M Sport Gran Coupe
Cash Price : £46,117
Customer deposit : £5000
BMW Contrib : £3750
Annual mileage : 8000
Term: 48 months
Payments : £399.64 per month
Feels like to me that the numbers are nice because of the 0% APR (which any dealership can offer me) but I shuld be asking the dealership for a deeper discount from the OTR price?
Any opinions would be great!
Cheers

So you'll pay £23783 by my reckoning over 4 years.
I think I'd be more tempted by one of the Audi S4 lease deals, which work out around £10500 for two years. Then you won't end up running a complicated car out of warranty, and if you can find a similarly good deal in 2 years time, you'll get a new car then, with new brakes, tyres etc, at the point when you'd need to start replacing these sort of consumables on the 435 PCP deal.

I don't think the deal's so-so but could be better, have a look here:
http://www.petervardybmw.co.uk/cars/4-series/4-ser...
So "their" car is nearly £3000 cheaper to begin with but they are offering £4494 discount, your dealer is offering £3931 and then there is the BMWFS contribution of £3750 for both. Having dealt with Peter Vardy in the past, you could probably do some more negotiation on it too.
As an aside, if you are feeling really flush, they currently have a couple of 440i M Sport Coupes with list prices of just over £58k!! Individual paint and leather, M Performance kit etc. Bonkers.

Thanks all - nice to have stuff to think about.
Feels like it’d be prudent to go and get a drive in an S4 to compare. The 435 was lovely though - super comfortable and lovely to drive.
I think a couple of grand more from the dealer would push the monthly payments down into great deal territory so I can ask the Q!
Have already done Carwow and will see what comes back.
I’ve gotta show some naivety and say that I hadn’t considered the term running costs at the 4 year mark as I think you’re right as that’s when things could get expensive vs a shorter term (PCP or PCH)

If you want one - this is a decent deal.

Try some brokers and CarWow, should easily be able to beat that discount.
Don’t get too hung up on 0% finance specifically, interest rates are so low at the moment that you need to make sure you’re not ignoring a better overall deal because of a little bit of interest.
Even with a low APR, say 4% over 4 years, 47k car will be like 4/5k in interest. Don’t get too hung up on 0% finance specifically, interest rates are so low at the moment that you need to make sure you’re not ignoring a better overall deal because of a little bit of interest.

I know some people who’ve signed up to really cruddy deals “because 0%” when they could have saved themselves a fair chunk by paying a bit of interest but landing a much bigger discount. Probably not likely in this case, but always worth keeping in mind.
Sure enough Carwow gets a local dealer offer at the 40k mark.
That’s around 6k less than the original from a different dealership.
A big assumption that my local can match that deal - should I expect my monthlies to reduce by around £70?
I’ve worked that on 6k less == 3k less to finance == circa £23 per £1000 reduction.
How’s that sound? Or should I get the full 6k?
