As title really.

What should I do if I suspect someone is trying a crash for cash on me.

I'm tempted to say I'm injured and call the Old Bill .

Take (or pretend to) lots of pictures ?

Both,

Phone bib,
Take photo's especially of other persons,

Obviously you have the incident captured on your dash cam,?

Purchase economy sausages for nocturnal planting activity once the offended address is known

I'd always video .
If you have a dashcam take it out and use that.

Go around BOTH vehicles fully noting any damage particularly relating to the impacted areas.

Capture the faces of the driver and passenger, ask them to confirm their names (at the very least), maybe DOB and address on video.

Plenty of pictures.

A couple of wife beater vests and a baseball bat in the boot for good measure.

if baseball bat, don't forget baseball. Personally, I'd prefer one of the two piece pickaxes, or a cheap dial gauge torque wrench.

Drive round them and reverse at high speed into them

Get out and take photos of the new accident where they ran into the back of you.

Avoid cash for crash scams in the first place, by not driving in Bradistan?

Some people have such suspicious minds, that woman was driving much too closely to the poor ped driver.

More likely confirmed as click bait junk produced to entertain the naive and fill the Mail on Line when news is quiet.

When these idiots learn to act in their fake videos the worlds their oyster!

Report your concerns to your insurer and the Police.

They will decide whether it is worthwhile pursuing the fraud element. Don't get your knickers in a twist

Are you just a bit pissed off that you negligently drove into the back of someone?

I don't understand
isn't it a bit late to take lots of pictures now? i am assuiming you were no at the scene jumping onto piston heads for advice

It's photos of the car you hit you want, as crash for cash scams often involve light damage which deliberately made a lot worse before the car is assessed.
