More of an inconvenience really, sold an item 2 weeks ago, a large swiss cheese plant. Buyer paid immediately but has not collected it ( lives 100 miles away !!). Was only £5 but are trying to clear house before moving. All emails ignored. Can I dump it.

For the sake of a fiver I'd just refund them and get rid of it, maybe drop them one more message to say you're going to do that in x days if no response.

Out of principal I will not refund, too many tossers and time wasters on there ! It's sitting in the garden waiting for a frost.

Whereabouts in the country are you Pheasant? I'd quite like a cheeseplant.

Message them and tell them that if they do not collect with X number of days you will charge for storage and X amount per day.
Once value goes passed money owned your in the clear.

Cancel the order through Ebay, and refund, citing lack of communication from the buyer. Anything else is asking for hassle.

Is this bad? I just got a canceled order from the seller.

Bought a 256GB Micro SD Card that was anything but ok, I asked them how to resend and get a replacement as:

1) it would lose connection midway through transfers.
2) would corrupt files at will that were transfered.
3) sometimes wouldnt be recognised by my laptop.

All within 24 hours.

I got a refund 5 minutes after the email was sent and a canceled order... still have the SD Card, but suspect its a fake (very good one at that) but a fake nevertheless.

Sticking a cheese plant outside will have already caused it harm at this time of year, so that probably settles it. frown

It's not "bad" from your point of view, but as it's cancelled and refunded, it effectively removes the risk of you being able to raise a case for the item not being as described, such cases having the potential to impact the seller's account.

Run hw2test on it. It'll tell you if the card is fake.

Downloaded that and an android emulator to try and fool the system and use SD Insight but I cant get the card to even register anymore on my system, that and the refund instantly makes me suspect fake.

I think eBay says you have to give them 30 days before relisting, so it may be worth checking?

I'm not sure you can raise a dispute over non-collection.

Think some of you are missing the point - what PH'ers never !!

My time is too precious to waste, (reading comments on here from the numpties is amusing though), it's a lot less time and effort to put it on fleabay than take it down the dump.

Perhaps INITIAL DAVE can tell me how to cancel citing lack of communication ?? its not on my list of reasons

Sorry, been a while since I've needed to cancel one.

Looking at it, I'd use the "buyer asked to cancel" option.

My issue is Im in Sydney and this seller was 10k+ with 99% rating, their product was $20 less than others at $132 compared to $158-170 which when you look at the UK its £150 for something I can get over here for £80.

Just a shame a seller with such high scores on ebay is like this to save their rep.
