991.2 turbo 3.8 discounts from dealers
Discussion
I own a 991.1 turbo s.
When I went to 2 dealers there was NO discount, they were happy for me to walk out the door. In fact I have owned 2 turbo’s over the last 8 years and I hate going to the dealers they are arrogant gits. I dread servicing as I can’t stand dealing with them.
Also I was given a years wait for a new specked car so bought a 7month old one from a opc with NO discount. I was told if you don’t want it someone else will.
Luckily there is 2 year service intervals so I don’t have to go to often.
Good luck.

No discounts means better residuals and will save you money in the long term however arrogant that may seem at first. I've dealt with many Mercedes/ BMW/ Audi buyers that have bought their premium cars with hefty discounts and then been badly burned when it comes to resale time and the 'value' monthly payment options turn into a millstone around their necks as they're buried in negative equity. Doesn't happen that often with Porsches, so there is a reason behind it. Anyone that arrives at my place in a late registered Mercedes is usually the start of a very painful conversation and a waste of both our times.

This the outcome of having premiums in GT products. It create a halo around the brand which means they 'don't do discounts' on everything else. it's very clever.
The residuals has a lot to do with volumes as well....I think Porsche sell something like 3000 911's in the UK every year (they only sell 15,00o across the whole of Europe)...across 40 OPC's that's about 6 or 7 911's across all the different models a month.Carrera

Targa GTS
Plus cabriolet versions of all of those except the Targa's and each OPC probably has 10 to 15 GT cars out of those numbers too.
I doubt they get more than half a dozen 991 Turbo build slots a year....

Cheib, a thumbs up to you sir, your comments always make sense and reason buddy thanks for them. I genuinely didn’t realise They had so little allocations for 911! I now totally get why they don’t really discount.. they do however give much better PX prices then the majority, having traded recently my Ranged-rover autobiography in for a Macan PP, some 3.5-4k difference Carrera

I can't help thinking the new turbo is no longer the performance bargain supercar basher all previous turbo models were. My 2006 997.1 turbo cost a smidge over £100k and at the time wasn't much from Ferrari or Lambo that could touch it if you actually wanted to drive.
So I was looking for something to replace the other half's C4S as her fun weekend car. Looked at 488 spyder and at £300,000 felt nice but kids won't be able to enjoy with her, thought about 570 spyder / 720S but same issue. Hurucan bit too shouty but this is the car our kids wanted interestingly.
So what did we go for with absolutely zero discount

I would like to see you print that off and take it into a dealer and ask them to match it. Currently a c9 month wait at my dealer for a Turbo S.cormeist said:

That said they don't always sell all the 991 Turbo allocations to customers to spec. My OPC has had a couple of 991 Turbo's as showroom cars in the last year....one was specced in PTS Gulf Blue and didn't sell that quickly. IF you can find a showroom car like that there may be a small deal to be had.

A few OPCs telling their turbo customers to wait for the 992 which surprises me. Apparently being launched with all the other 992 models this time around?
But that would probably mean a wait of 18 months or more and I am sure there would be a queue.Desert Dragon said:

Wow that’s an expensive car - put in another £k15 and you could probably get close to 991.1 RS for that - did this cross your mind ?
