You are confused there is no restriction on colour of lights shown to the front other than they can't be red.Cat

It says obligatory and optional main beam headlamps must be white or yellow. It doesn't mention any other lights.http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1989/1796/sched...

The Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989 are the relevant legislation. They contain no restrictions on the colour of light which can be shown to the front other than it must not be red. Plus things that cover more than simply headlights.
