About time I started a thread on this.

I let the RS6 go, as great as a car it was, a few niggling issues left me stuck a few times, so back to a two car stable. I do miss a V10 though... Anyway!

Had a few Subarus over the years, was a tech at a dealer for 10 years so know them well enough. Had a few classics, few turbo Legacys, and a couple of UK STi's.

So, onto the new addition. Special edition STi S203, very few in the UK. 55k on the clock, totally original as it came from Japan. Differences over the standard STI, a lot to list, 2.0 EJ20, Twinscroll turbo, 320bhp as standard, STi suspension, carbon Recaros, BBS wheels etc.

Plans with the car is to slowly get it in pristine condition, but it will still be used as it should be! It is very clean just now, just needs a few bits doing! Since I have had it, I have removed the corner number plate holder, and fitted a genuine fog cover replacement. Whoever had it in Japan had the Defi gauges stuck to the dash (!), so a new pod was purchased and fitted into the centre console. Centre console finish has started to peel so i'm in the process of repainting it just now along with the air vents and speedometer surround. There's a small crack in the splitter, but trying to get a new one is nigh on impossible so it's staying just now. Wheels have a few marks, but can't find anyone local here to match the original BBS Diamond black finish. Working on it...

Quick wash once I got it, time to remove that corner number plate!

Painted fig cover fitted.

Next to the Twinscroll Legacy that's replaced the RS6 - what a downgrade hehe

I'll keep this updated with progress over the winter.

Rab's car.. was for sale for ages, which I couldn't understand given the rarity/miles/condition. Although I think that it looks a LOT better with the fog cover refitted, central numberplate and the Defi gauges housed properly. Look forward to seeing how you get on with it. smile

Love the S series of Imprezas, I always assumed they were only available in blue so good to see a bit of variety!

Lovely car. I'd stick with plastic splitters for now and keep the real deal for shows (in the event you find one). I'm on my way to get my 5th on standard UK STi buggers are a pain to keep!

Look forward to the updates.

It was indeed! I was watching it for a while.. once the RS was away I messaged him and had it on the driveway within 24hrs. Just couldn't resist. Sold an 05 STI Widetrack last year and missed it!

It has crossed my mind - definitely a cheaper way of doing it. Carbon one is lovely though haha!

Spec C's are lightweight versions, alloy bonnet, lighter windows etc. You have the RA aswell which takes that side a step further. S202/203/204 etc is fitted with basically every option from STI, suspension, strut braces etc.

Thanks all for the comments - Here's a few more pictures!

Love it. Grey with a nice low spoiler, no gold wheels or blue interiors. All the things I love about my Spec-D. A great performance package too, and rare.

Really, really nice!
