Evening
Looking for suggestions for car for my wife. 335d gt going back this week. She would be happy with another 335d in some form. I would quite like a change. Some options we (I) have considered:
435gc
335d
535
640gc
A7
Mercedes E /Cls 350

Needs to be quick, ideally 4 door and probably diesel (80 mile round trip commute) Dog will go on back seat. Estate would be ideal but she has a pathalogical hatred of them.
Budget up to £25k no older than 4 years
Cheers

4 series GC would be more practical as its a hatchback. 430d is a nicer engine though

Do you mean 430 has nicer engine than 435i or d?

Viewed a couple of 640gc nice but they are indeed huge

435i or d out of that list for me, nice and practical and the dog will be happy in the boot with it being a hatchback. I do like the 6GC(had a 640d Coupe) but they're not that practical for such a massive car.

Interesting thanks. You are probably right but the interior finish of the 6 looks lovely

430d over 435d but 435i over both of them.

640d is nice but doesn't offer much space wise over a GC.

E350 as you say is worth a look if you fancy a change.

Rather than e350 what about cls350 sportbrake? Look far more interesting and there is one at capitol cars in Preston at 25k, latest shape http://www.cc4cars.com/detail/262447/used-mercedes...

If not a BMW, a late last-gen C350CDI with the later 265bhp engine is a great bit of kit.

I have that engine in a GLC350d and it's really impressed me(smooth/quiet for a diesel), always liked the CLS too and that's a nice rare car.

Cheers for the input
Went for a cls 350
Quality and interesting (if slightly cramped) cabin, nice ride and lots of torque
