I seem too have flapped my gums a fair bit over the last 11 years and my large appendage is a bit of embarrassment too me. Is there Any way I could be knocked back too something manageable like 10.000 or even zero.
Just the numbers beside my forum name.
Many Thanks whatever the answer is.

PH doesn't seem to work like other forums OP. On another forums if you delete a post, the post count goes down accordingly, but on here it just keeps rising as I'm assuming it's keeping a log of the total number of posts made (regardless of deletion by poster or moderator).
To test this (specifically this thread) I posted a reply and my post count went up from 4243 to 4244. I then deleted the post but the post count remained at 4244. By adding this reply it should go up to 4245.
Edit - yep as expected right now (and before I post on any other threads on here) my post count is now 4245, so PH obviously logs the total number of posts made regardless of any future deletion.

The answer is kill this profile and returns as "Biker's Nemesis II" and you'll start with a post count of zero - all the people will point at the noob and laugh mindJust the numbers beside my forum name.

In all seriousness I know one person who was quite active on a forum and has re-invented himself at least twice possibly 3 times to escape his "spent too much time on here" label

Should make it easier to drop the post count without losing the posts then.Just need someone at PH who can execute a SQL update statement... I wouldn't hold your breath.

Rename the old account first and then you wouldn't need the II? But risk someone else nicking it if you're slow.

But are spaces allowed in names now?
BTW, if biker takes 2 minutes to write a post on average he's been 6.6 days solid doing posts
