Triathlon bike buying advice
Discussion
End of season, sold a share in a trackday car and time to upgrade my Trek SL1000 that has morphed into my triathlon bike that i've owned since 2008 and has been great for me. I love the sport and am totally set on a cervelo.
Two options, same frame sizes/geometry essentially:
1) 2017 (new) Cervelo P2 - 105 groupset, FSA brakes/crank, profile design cockpit
2) 2014 Cervelo P3 - dura ace groupset, rotor 3d+ crank, magura hydraulic brakes, 3T aura cockpit (frameset in my favourite colour but a bit scuffed in places)
both bikes would be run on parcour chrono wheelset and are priced at £1700 give or take £5.
They're essentially the same frame. What do people think regarding the sundries etc. Obviously groupset etc is better on the P3, but hydraulic brakes could make maintenance a faf. I'm leaning towards the P3, but would love to buy a 'new' bike for once rather than s/h frame.....
