OS X Tiger on Mac Mini

[viper_larry]

I have OS X Panther on my Mac Mini - will Tiger be a free upgrade or purchase only? Cannot see any details other than purchase

[jmorgan]

Purchase I believe? I am going to wait for a while before I buy it, see how it fares.

The rules have not changed since the Panther or Jaguar releases. If you buy a new Mac on or after a shipping date is announced then you get it for "free"*. Otherwise it's full price. Fortunately the price has actually gone down since the last release, it's only £90. If you are (or know) a student you can get it for a lot less too

*free as in you pay shipping costs.
