Ive recently become a bit of a plane geek and would like to know if its possible to find which planes ive previously flown on? I keep all my old tickets so have the flight numbers and dates i travelled on, i actually remember the model of aircraft ive flown on its just the registration i dont have. Any help appreciated.

How far back in time do you want to go?

Furthest back is 12 years, the rest are within the last 5 years.

The easiest to track is US flights, as there is a government site that is searchable. I found it on a thread on pprune/flyertalk/airliners.net can't remember which, but it came up when I searched the exact same thing, to fill in missing flights from years ago.

If you have flown in/out of Heathrow or Gatwick, go here:

There are tricks to get old data out of flightware too - I found out from the thread I mentioned above.

I didn't think that G-INFO listed flights. It does contain all UK civil registrations - which is useful at times in identifying aircraft but I didn't think it could be used to link individual aircraft registrations with specific flight numbers.

This is useful - to look at where G-ERIC has gotten to, always good to keep tabs biggrin

No but if he knows the carrier and they're U.K. Based then he can narrow his search

List the dates and flight numbers of those that arrived/departed Heathrow and I can give you those.

Unless we're talking hundreds. I'm a nice guy, but I do have a life. wink

I saw a message posted in 2017 saying it was possible to identify a particular aircraft that was used on a specific flight at Heathrow. I have almost a complete record of my flights dating back to the 1950's but I do not know which Tridents I flew on from Aberdeen to Heathrow on 12/12/79 BA5601 and back to Aberdeen the same day BA5614 Can anybody help ?

Bit of a tall order after almost 40 years. I presume these would have been “Shuttle” flights.

By 1979 many of the Trident 1s had already been retired.

Further to my message about Trident Flights on 12/12/1979 I have tried to narrow down the possibilities particularly in relation to Trident 1's By December 1979 only G-ARPD/H/K/L/U/N/O/P/R/W/X/Z and G-AVYB/C/E were still in service However, virtually all Trident 2's and 3's are possible.
I do have photos of Trident 3's in Aberdeen but all are dated 1974/5 which probably reflects the growth of passenger traffic as the Oil Boom developed which culminated in the use of some Tri-stars before the 757's became the norm. I don't think, strictly speaking, that Aberdeen had a ''Shuttle Service'' as did Glasgow and Edinburgh as I understand that a seat was guaranteed on theses services with a standby aircraft such as a BAC 1-11 available to take up any overflow. There are stories of these standby aircraft leaving with very low numbers of passengers.

The plane finder app has a great historical playback facility, it’s not based on individual aircraft, you just put in a timeframe, select and area on the global map and you can watch back everything that goes by.
