Hey Folks.
I have not been as active on the forum as before but there we go. I am thinking of changing my Mk1 Focus for something more comfortable.
As I was thinking I would really like to drive up and down in a MK3 Gs300 but I may be to expensive to run albeit is fully loaded with gadgets and u can get one for under 5k£ which I great value for money. I also got my eyes on the Accord 1.8 or 2.0 petrol of course, although I don't really know much about them but they look good and with it being a Honda it's probably reliable. Other choices might be the S60 with the 2 litre turbo petrol or the Saab 9-3 with the same engine. I want a reliable and comfortable car. The Lexus would be the dream but any thoughts appreciated. Budget is not set really, probably around 2-3 grand although could stretch it for the right model. I care more about the history rather than mileage.
Thoughts?

I'd say take a look at the IS250 as a good alternative to the GS300 you get a similarly spec'd but newer lower mileage car if you can live with it's smaller size.

A good shout that is, the only problem I'm facing is that one of my mates got one and his is pretty much pimped out and I would fall behind at the dick measuring contest. I think this is the only model they do in diesel as well.

Yes it is but the diesel wasn't a good one which is why Toyota now uses BMW diesel engines.
