In real money you're about 105 kgs.
I'm pretty much the same height and 75 kgs (165lbs/11st 11lbs), slim build but by no means skinny - 33" waist.

Pretty sure you're overweight and probably fat. Nothing wrong with being fat - plenty/most are these days.

What is your actual waist size, not what size jeans you squeeze into.

PS. Water handily weighs 1kg per litre so rough approximation is 4kgs for stomach contents if it's 4 litres.

you don't look fat coz 80% of the population is fat. You probably have a dad bod and are skinny fat, you don't carry the weight on your stomach but its in your face, ass & legs.

I'm a similar height, and was slightly lighter at 16.5 stone. I didn't think I was fat and liked to think squeezing into 36" jeans was normal...

I'm now a much more active 14 stone who is comfortable in 32" jeans. I'm pretty pleased when I look in the mirror but have looked at some recent holiday photos and I suspect I could usefully lose another stone.

I think you're kidding yourself much like I was. smile

You're just under 4 inches taller than me, but weigh 5 stone more.

Those are some heavy inches!

I hate to break it to you, but you're lying to yourself. Unless you have a medical condition, the ONLY way to put weight on is to eat more than you burn so you have to be eating too much.

I'm 6'1", 50 & 36 waist

I came back from an all inclusive holiday a few years ago end August and weighed myself (for the first time in about 10 months) and found myself at 97kgs. I thought I was 90kgs. I wondered why my 36" pants were feeling tight....in reality I was more 37" !!

Sept/Oct/Nov/ Dec I simply reduced the portion size of my meals. Breakfast I stopped filling the bowl to capacity with cereals (:-)), lunch had soups regularly rather than big sandwiches, and ate my evening meals on a plate 3/4 the size of my normal plate and just didn't go mental on biscuits / snacks. Didn't find it that hard. Didn't stop anything or cut out particular food groups. I also made sure I hydrated more as some of my hunger was actually thirst.

No extra exercise (in fact very little exercise !!), no "diet" or hard graft....just sensible portions & not acting on that desire to stick my hand in the biscuit jar or have that 2nd portion.

I lost ~7kgs in 3.5 months. I've more or less maintained that weight for 2 years but now considering whether I need to get "serious" about getting below 90kgs as I am creeping up again.

Your fat ;-) like I am ! :-o

This, most people lie to themselves about what they eat in my experience.

Smaller portions, less booze, bulk meals out with veg not carbs, healthy snacking. Exercise can help, but food is key.

Cut out carbs.
Cut out sugar.
Avoid booze.
Don't eat after 6pm.
Do 1 hour of exercise a day.
Eat more vegetables.
Cut out fat.
Eat less meat.
Cut out dairy.
Meditate.
Drink at least 2 litres of water a day.
Fast once a week for 24 hours.

You should lose about 20kg in 3 weeks.

And be 1 stone heavier by mid-December having quit yet another highly restrictive diet.

biggrin

Eat a little bit less, move a little bit more. The weight will slowly come off and stay off.

+1

The OP is fooling himself if he honestly thinks he isn't fat.

The taller you are, the more you can "hide" a bit of extra weight, two stone overweight on a 6ft bloke isnt like 2 stone overweight on a 5 ft woman, but you can only carry so much before you tip over into "fat".

I think we tell ourselves we arent that bad, we arent as fat as someone else and cant understand it, but lose weight and you soon feel the benefit.

I have put a little back on recently and it makes me feel crap and uncomfortable.

I try to work to 2000 cals a day and some exercise, that keeps me down and allows for some indulgence at weekend.

Probably true. It's crept up on me the weight and visually lesser to a degree. I've started snacking and eating pasta again regularly as a treat for cycling.

Think I'll start with immediately stopping all crisps/biscuits/chocolate and pasta purely before a big bike ride rather than regular tea.

Of course pasta wasn't a small portion either.

Seems "thick" as it's obvious.
Don't beat yourself up - it took me until I was 40 to appreciate that I was fat because I ate too much. The great thing is that a huge proportion of what you look like comes from what goes in your mouth so you can solve this without needing a strenuous fitness regime, which is a godsend when you get to 50 smile

I am 6ft 2 and weigh 14 stone and am between a 36 and 34 inch waist depending on brand/fit etc. I carry most my weight around my waist though. As others have said, we all carry weight differently so waist size is not the best measure of your health. Also, as others have said, being tall we can hide a lot of weight and look ok. Your weight is high for your size, so is mine!

A comfortable weight for me is 13 and a half stone. happy with 34 inch trousers.
