Fitting wishbones with new bushes

Can anyone help me with a question about fitting wishbones back on the chassis after new polybushes have been fitted?

The bushes are slightly wider than the mounts. Do I use a rubber mallet to force them in ..??

I had exactly the same problem when I replaced my bushes over the winter. I found that the front wishbone mounting bracket was smaller than the bushes and the metal tube. I aligned the rear bushes and the mounting and noted where the front bushes were too long and trimmed them and the metal inner tube with an angle grinder fitted with a cutting disc ( made a bit of a mess with melted plastic eveywhere!)
