Whilst I love going away, whether it is with my work or a week away with my other half, I just hate the idea of leaving my car in airport car parks! Much prefer to alter to get closer airports or get trains/lifts from friends. What about anyone else? Are the carparks secure? Soft tops are so easy to get into (Chim) and although insured, it would ruin my day/week/month/year if I came back and it was missing/trashed.

Purple Parking is very good and usually near to the Airport.

If you at Heathrow - avoid Park4less.

I use Apoca at Heathrow (the main Long stay) and I've seen TVR's, Porsches, ferarris etc..

They have security cameras and patrols.. and I use it very often, and cant say I have ever seen or heard of any problems..

Not worried so much about trashed as thrashed. I hate even taking my car to a paintshop. Last time I picked it up, I noticed the temp gauge was nearly on 80C bet they didn't let it warm up properly either

My car was the subject of an attempted theft in this car park a month or so ago. Thanks to the security/CCTV I still have the thing, despite the thieves getting it started as the guards chased them away. I understand thefts are a rare occurance but that many cars left in one place for a long time is always going to be attractive to thieves, whatever the security measures. If it reassures you, they went for my 10 year old Audi estate and a Peugeot of similar age.

After using a 'secure' carpark where you parked the car 10 years ago to come back and find the side of the car caved in where some muppet had driven into the side of it then p1ssed off I never use them anymore.

I've never had bother with the secure carparks that involved the operators parking your car however. But then again, I've never taken the tvr to one of them either (and never would). could never accept that they would treat it the way I do.

I travel with work pretty much every other week and use the long term parking at H'row & Gatwick with the Chim. Never had a problem.

Do what I do, use the missus's metro, explain how it's got more room, more reliable etc..

Kids getting out of the back of cars can dent that as much as they like....

I couldn't care less

I use "Premier Parking" at Manchester Airport several times a year, involves a three minute free bus ride to the terminal, never had a problem, although best to book at least a week in advance.......

British Airways Express Valet parking at Heathrow brought my Jag back with 15 mystery miles on the clock and with the gearbox switched into sports mode when i used them a while back..... I am assured the guy who brought my car round is no longer working there.

Even still i wouldn't trust them at all any more and they are getting nowhere near the TVR, the Heathrow Express into Paddington has been the way forward ever since.

Can vouch for Purple Parking, especially chauffeur pick up service - used them regularly, they've never missed a pick up or return.

Mileage always spot on (cos I always make a note of it)
