Water in footwell of Audi A4 convertible 2004,
Discussion
Having bought car for weekend fun I knew I'd have a few problems here and there, air on not working when I bought it so got it fixed, needed new compressor, not cheap! Went back to garage and they say it's the roof seals . Water comes in wether it wet or dry, just need to get it sorted out , done bulkhead drain hole. HELP!
A friend of mine had exactly the same problem this week albeit on a Ford Focus - water was appearing in the footwell every day - regardless of weather... initially thought it was the seals on windscreen but in the end turned out to be a problem with the air conditioning leaking - cost him £150 to get fixed....
I should imagine it’s the same issue I had in a 2003 S4.
It’s the air con pipe which is blocked, took me around 30 mins to take the carpet up, blow the rubber pipe thru and then it started draining through to the ground again.
Easiest thing to check is whether there is water pooling under the car with the air con working.
