Suspected Scam?
Discussion
Hi,
Unfortunately my first post on your (excellent) forum is reporting a scam i think I found in your car sales section
I have been looking at Navaras for a while now and this one popped up. It looked far too good to be true but I emailed the seller anyway.

I received this back in reply:
Hello,
First of all I want to thank you for your interest to buy my car. The car looks and runs great, well taken care of with full dealership service history. Never been involved in an accident, no problems at all, HPI clear, current MOT. I've almost reached an agreement with a potential buyer. Unfortunately, it looks like there are some problems and he doesn't have all the money to pay so you can have it if you like.
The reason for selling it is that I've moved with work in Italy and the company which I work for gave me a new car to drive around and I have no use for this one at the moment. I won't be able to deal in person but we can do everything through a transport company, KEW Transport Ltd (www.kew-transport.co.uk), they are taking care of everything and they can arrange a delivery to your address, the car being already at their warehouse in Leicester. The estimated delivery time is 2-3 working days. If this is going to be a quick sale, I will let it go for £4670 with the delivery charges included. The V5 log book is already signed on my behalf, the car will come with 2 keys, all service records and previous MOT's. If you decide to buy the car just contact Kew Transport department that handles the sale directly at sales@kew-transport.co.uk and they will assist you with any questions you might have regarding the transaction.
When contacting the KEW Transport please specify my name Annie Parker and the car make and model.
Best regards,
Annie Parker
This reply didn't quite sit right with me so after some searching of this forum I came across this.

In short it seems to be the same seller doing exactly the same thing.
Is there somewhere else on PH i should report this to?
Cheers

The ad's almost certainly a scam, but why on earth would you buy a Navara of that era anyway? You've heard of the chassis rot, right?https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...
(BTW, the dash shot has lost 5k miles since September's MOT, but is only a few miles before last year's MOT (are all the pics that old? Are they actually taken from last year's for sale ad?) and there's no mention of the four shagged tyres having been replaced.)
Cazana has the RK changing last September, and has a total of eight ads since then... Smellier than last week's socks.

I thought the rot problems were from around 2003-2008..
They might be the worst, or they might simply be the oldest. The design didn't change much, I don't think, until 2015 - so I'd be steering well clear. If nothing else, the rep means they'll be unsellable in the future.Gassing Station | Website Feedback | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
