Afternoon all, quick question for an investing dummy.

Can the £20k annual stocks and shares ISA allowance be invested in one share?
If not, what is the max shares in one company that can be bought as part of the annual allowance?

Thanks in advance,

C.

Yes it most definitely can.

Yep, but better off investing it in different companies to reduce risk, or maybe a tracker fund.

Yes, but presumably you eventually want to have a portfolio of 25 to 30 businesses to achieve a sensible diversification.
If you want to build the numbers up within the annual ISA allowances more rapidly, how about 4 at £5,000 or 2 at £10,000.
Obviously more risk initially, but that depends on the particular businesses.

You might perhaps be talking about a maturing employer share save option scheme. If so, I expect you know that they can be transferred directly to an ISA.
