Without actually hearing it "sounds like the engine is about to seize" will mean nothing to anyone else unfortunately.

Pretty much all you can do is try again & be a bit more vigilant as you have quite clearly either left something off or loose.

When it does turn over it sounds like something is gripping the engine but it was ticking over fine

What does that mean?

I doubt it's your battery and if it's sounds like it's going to seize it probably has done and giving the illusion of a flat battery - although I struggle to see how that's related to a DMF/Clutch fault...?

If you've touched something and it's not the same as it was before your touched it, you've done something wrong. Take it back out and recheck, I doubt it's a coincidence.

Either a thrust bearing problem, or no gearbox oil. Not much else it could be unless it's the wrong flywheel.

If you tightend everything up ok the only thing I could think of is the starter is jamming due to clutch dust or bits of friction plate so it stays in mesh with the ring gear..???

Here we go again.

The story unfolds bit-by-bit!

Is there a reason you didn't put that in your original post? It could be significant.

In the absence of anything obvious then the only way is to remove it all & examine the bits.

Having read the whole thread carefully I still don't know what the actual symptoms are we're being asked to diagnose or exactly what was done leading up to them. Your chances of getting a helpful response improve considerably if you give a full explanation of the problem.

A few extra seconds turning this gibberish into English would make it much easier for the people trying to help you.
