Any idea how loud a "standard" Cerb V8 is?

Or a standard Sp6 (for the first two seconds until it...... ooops sorry...)

Just curious really, doing a couple of trackdays this year, and am looking into some bolt on bits. And some for the car.

Had my Cerb measured today at 106dB @ 4500rpm. Might be a teesny-weensy bit of a problem for Combe! I've still got the moggies jammed in the pipes, but beyond them they are straight through sporty little numbers as opposed to the flatulent but inefficient standard job. Thingamebobs. Them. Oh I give up.

Coombe is 100dba or less, so if you want to go on there you'll need silencers or re-fit the "fart box" which actually isn't that restrictive.

If yuo have sports pipes then even Tim's add-ons won't save you these days.

recently at donington a cerbera was under teh drive-by limit but was thrown off for the pops and bangs going waaaaaay over the limit .. and that's with modified add-on cans fitted !!

you really need a std back box now AND Tim's add-ons as a std back box with decats for instance makes at or just under 100dB.

Good info Joolz , yes the problem with cerberas is pops and bangs, the bolt on track silencers normally reduce by 5-7 dba, but won't stop the popping, good cats would help this.

I was going to sports pipe mine and decat, and probably will, but to be honest, Im really enjoying the standard sound of a 4.5. Its all new and fluffy.....

The std back box and decats is still the best cerbie sound IMO .. sounds like a fruity twinkie escort or 'tina and i love it
