I wouldn't personally, if the car is running fine now why have it done?
Indeed, from reading on forums there doesn't seem to be much positive being said by anyone who's had it done, with stories of less power, poor running, reduced mpg and various parts failing.I certainly wouldn't be doing it if I had an 'affected' vehicle.
I'd always planned to have mine remapped, so got Skoda to do my vRS 170 CR whilst in for a service.
Hard to say whether it was in my head as I was expecting it to be bad, but it felt sluggish (no diesel estate jokes please) compared to before. What was $hit was the noise it made around 2k rpm. A gruff burst of revs from the engine. Horrible noise (again, it's a diesel I know, but noisier than before).
Then I took it to Revo and have never looked back.
