GT4 seats?

Hello guys,

Has anyone ever seen seats like these in a GT4? I don't see them in the catalogue that I have, and only find them mentioned on reviews of the Cayman S. I wonder if they may have been on older or imported models perhaps?

Yes they are folding buckets which were optional and which I and some others have because we find them more comfortable than the 918 style

The folding buckets were an option that was introduced slightly later on in production (I think mainly because of the LWB supply issues). They were slightly cheaper than the LWB's and also had the option of heating (If I remember correctly).

They are still available to order on new cars like the 991.2 gt3

I had folding buckets on my 991.1 GT3 and loved them. And heating which is a plus and takes away those ugly blank buttons from the air conditioning unit. And folding to put stuff in the back despite the cage.

But they don’t look as cool as the fixed ones (so called 918 style) and are not height adjustable which allow to go lower or higher than the folding..

The folding buckets weren't originally an option - only the full buckets - hence why the folding buckets were not in the brochure.

There was a supply problem with the full buckets - they proved more popular than expected and for a while they couldn't get enough.

So they put the folding buckets on the menu. Then towards the end of the run both folding and full buckets were available.
