are you sure about the brakes JSG?
I had always thought that the brakes were a cheaper option for TVR when they put (threw) together the Tuscan S. They then fited them to later Cerbs. Older 4.5s often have them fitted as they are cheaper than replacing the original fitments (and I will go against the grain here - they are ok compared to other options!).
But as they are cheaper it makes me chortle that people suggest they are some form of 'extra'.

Story I heard: when they threw (probably quite literally) Red Rose (and later S) Tuscans together, the discs are definitely off 4.5 Cerbs. Don't know what happened to Cerb brakes after that, mind. Have heard that story a dozen times (and had "4.5 Cerb brake disc" receipts for the Tusc to that effect)
Hi there guys,
yes tis me - took the photos at Stokes Bay last Sunday with the Harry Truman in the background, followed by a bit of a "ahem" blat along the motorway - great fun.
Harry, if you are still interested post Le Mans please give me a ring - as you say am local to you and you have the footage from the run out at Christmas 03 for reference (what a great day out)
Have not been out and about much as I have been getting stuck in to the building work, but needs must I am afraid and the beasty needs to go.
As to the colour - Did not know that it was from Mercedes, but it is a really unusual combo, if weather is overcast/dull it looks black, but if sunny, boy the green comes through and it looks stunning.
Richard saw you in the RR on Monday coming up to Jct 9 - looked superb!
Take it easy out there and if you would like a look Harry, give me a shout.
Cheers
Jon

Oh and as for the brakes, they work a lot better imho than the standards, although a little noisy until bedded in, but the biggest improvment I have found is ......appearance.
Those cross drilled holes do look the part and they were a lot cheaper at £110 a pop as opposed to £400!!!!
Anyway I can still stop ok and that has got to be the main thing

TBH I'm a little reluctant to come look as I might buy it
. I'd also have to get the chief financial officers approval too, although she prefers cerbs to the V8S, so could chaulk that one off
. But I have to shift the S first if only because I can't evict the misses car for two TVR's
. Besides I am/was going to do one more Le Mans run with the roof down
, although I wouldn't be too upset in a Cerb
. I remember the xmas03 brighton run now, I seem to remeber spending half the journey behind your motor. I could have sworn it was black, so as a very dark green it is pretty close to my all fav colour of reflex charcol

Evening Harry
Understand completely, but drop us an email and we could meet up for a pint and a natter if you like (not trying to start up a Splinter Hampshire group Craig if your reading this!)and maybe a bit of a drive!
Cheers for now
Jon
Jon, not sure how local you are but I can walk to the Joly Roger overlooking the harbour from where I am, I get the impression you may be Lee-O-T-S way
. Very local to me is Barry in a Cameleon Tuscan, can't remember his PH handle though and Tony T88CAN at Stubb. There are a few others but I don't know them as such. Re drive out considering, subject to weather
, tagging along on sunday with the E Sussex lots drive to the Seven Stars, will try to hook up with them at Goodwood and come the scenic way back
. I'll drop you a mail re the car, but I'll state again I'm not ready to buy one yet
