Hi

Does the ecu have its own fuse? Apart from not starting will anything else happen if I remove the ecu fuse? ie will it forget any settings or parameters?

Thanks

If you are looking to disable the car, remove the steering column lock fuse. As I recall, it is a 10W centre maybe 2nd or 3rd row down.

How do I know, because it migrated out of its slot on my car and you can't get the ignition switch past the first position... After calling Porsche Assistance and ordering hire car and transporter, I called my German tuner who said it was a regular issue in Cayman race cars so I pushed it back in and problem fixed, although why it happened on mine is a mystery.

Thanks. Would this apply to keyless go cars?

Cheers

If Keyless only operates the door locks I presume it would, otherwise I don't know.

If it also allows starting with the key in close proximity, it would probably still work. Try it?
