Hi all,

Quick question.. just been doing about 72 in a 60 when spotted a marked car up ahead which had a guy inside with a handheld gun.

I braked quite far back and didn't get pulled. Do they send out fixed penalty letters off the back of a hand held gun? As heard they usually pull you at the time.

Mindful they can probably clock cars from a hefty distance away..

Cheers

To actually answer the question, they don't tend to send NIPs from a hand held gun. It would be done at the roadside. You passed the aptitude test though by slowing down.

They don't tend to, but they could send a NIP out from this type of thing. Chances are you would have been stopped at the time though.

Yeah, it'd be embarrassing to get done for going too slow in a TR6 :-P
