This engine is going into my Rover SD1 with a 2 speed powerglide and my mates old modified Jensen axle. I guess I may go MS3 pro for the ECU. Bloody luvly. Gearbox?

I have a 6.0 LS coming for the TVR and will put a 6 speed behind it, probs a T56

I sold my old beloved wide arch, but have an unmolested '2000' in white. Its an honest solid car. Shame I am going to ruin a classic Would never have guessed you were still on the laughing gas.
Just a little gas on the 6.0, I am aiming for over 500 bhp NA anyway. I have Brummmies Dart heads and going to fit a nice cam.

Seriously ive never had spare cash, I always spend it too quickly.
The Triumph project is mostly funded from the sale of parts we salvaged from the Jensen Interceptor. That was lost in the accident when my best friend passed and this is a tribute car to him using the engine from that car.
The TVR I do spend my hard earned on and this is the next chapter. Ive spent too much on Rovers but enjoyed the journey, set records and won trophies I am proud of.
The Rover Sd1 I have had stored since time began. I started my love of the Rover V8 with SD1's from the age of 18 and this wolf in sheeps clothing project is scratching a big itch ive had for a long time. It wont happen in a day but will see the track and road soon enough I hope

Deep Purple,,, I never got it with this band as a yout, infact I’m now really into early 70’s British drummers as I realise many were very talented.
One of the few rudiments I do is the John Bonham triplet. Mega
Fast triplets on a single bass drum pedal,, that gets the calf muscles screaming

Triplet
3 notes or drum strokes played usually fast and repeatedly
So that can be three strokes on one drum or all on different drums or say 2 on the snare 1 on bass drum to complete the triplet. Many combinations are available and it works with 4/4. 6/8 and all sorts of other time signatures.
There’s a saying in drums.. “ if you can say it you can play it”
So just count 1-2-3 really fast repeatedly and you’ll get the idea of how it would sound ,, like an earthquake when Bonhams doing it on tom toms ,,,,
The hand sticking action for a right handed person would be Right left right/ right left right and so on.
So do that on the desk with your hands calling out right left right/ right left right, as you follow with your hands, practice slowly and build up the speed,,,, see cars and drums, same s
t man,,,, hahah Until you can do it seemlessly
Because you have what will become two right handed strokes close together as the last and first stroke of the triplet is always on your right hand it will soon come together.
Next time your near a drum kit, have a go, your triplets will rock dude,,,,,,
So let’s take this on and if you use your right foot on bass drum you can now replace the second stroke with a bass drum stroke.
Say using snare bass snare you can use your right hand for the snare,,,, ( usually you’d use your left) but this allows you to do f
k off triplets using just one hand and bass drum, you can now wave at the crowd with your free hand,,, which happens to be what we drummers call your weaker hand as in your left,,,,, if your right handed that is. Reverse this if like me your left handed.
I’m thick you know,,,, barely understand half of it but can play most of it by virtue of a Mis spent youth,,, seems rather priceless now I’ve got back into it.

Ps I do it by using my weaker hand so actually right handed as it’s my weaker hand but already in the position on snare drum.
It’s simple really.
You have single strokes, doubles and triplets, practice with your hands first to get these working and you understand the difference,, I actually practice these with my feet too,, when I remember lol.
By learning these three rudiments your hands will be ready to tackle parraddiddles as they are just combinations of singles and doubles,,, I do these with my feet too.,,, I hope your stepsons listening up,,, hahah.
You’ll then find that many drum fills or actuall beats often have these simple rudiments underlying the beat,,, so by learning this stuff which is really hard until you get into it but just takes practice you can take on many more drum grooves with a base understanding of the vibe.
It speeds up the time it takes to do drum parts.
You can all drive, that suggests to me you could all drum.
It’s just coordination and muscle memory.
Take your clutch foot for instance,
Get in a new car and a few attempts later you can use the clutch without thinking about it because you’ve developed subtle muscle memory in your LEFT ft over the years, your also turning a corner, cancelling the indicator, checking for pedestrians,,,, at the same time,
Drums and driving are using the same parts of the brain I reckon, drivings less physical though! Even carts,,,,,,,
In hoping a few TVR heads are tapping out triplets now
This is a good triplet that sounds cool.
1 right hand snare 2 left hand snare 3 right ft bass drum
So right left ft, right left ft
You could even add a cymbal stroke on 3 as you hit the bass drum,
That’s actually just doing the triplet with your hands finishing it on the cymbal as you also hit bass drum on 3 really funky,, loving this,,, sos lads : getmecoat:
