changing colours pros v cons

Thinking of changing the colour on my 996 from blue to yellow or red.
How do you think it will effect the value and ease of sale when the time comes?

To many marks that would show through the wrap hence the repaint.

Done well it shouldn't make any difference, bet it will though.

Would make any future purchaser suspicious, maybe get some good quality pics of every panel before hand if you decide to go ahead with it to prove there were no serious issues.

On a 996 I think you would be best keeping it factory original.

A colour change does create a stigma, unless it is done to a very high standard, but the cost would be considerable.

You could put that money towards a new car in your colour preference

I did wonder about changing from Arctic Silver to Polar silver, but the chap who is painting it said it'd be hugely complex to do a good job, and he wasn't willing to do a bad one.
