How to play xbox360 games on the xbox one x

I'm trying to find a way to play State of Decay, that i have saved on my xbox360, on the Xbox One X.
SoD was downloaded on to the 360 hard drive, so i don't have a disc to insert into the One X.

Is there a way that i can transfer the game across, or do i have to buy the new version online?

So you own a digital copy?

If you own the digital copy, then you'll be able to install it on your Xbox One/Xbox One S/Xbox One X if its in the backwards compatible list.

I picked up SOD on Xbox One, it's not back compatible it's a remastered Xbox one edition. That's why it won't show up to download.

SOD isn't backwards compatible. Would hold off buying it though - its been heavily discounted in most of the XBL sales for the past year. Suspect XBL will do a black friday sale and a week of games sales over christmas. | think I picked it up in a XBL sale for about £3.
