Hi everyone, as a Chim driver and as from 14 days ago a potential Tuscan 4ltr customer (2000 2001), I have been drooling over the "for sale" adverts on the web site. I have short listed 3 that seem beautiful, but every one is in Surrey, Worcester or Somerset. For a youngish lad north of Aberdeen it is a bit of a hike down, eventhough I'd love the drive up. So, are they any good examples of the same year being sold (at a reasonable price, 23K ish), in Scotland.

Keep an eye on thses sites http://users.autoexposure.co.uk/amsportscars/
www.bedlingtonmotorcompany.co.uk/stocklist.htm
They often have some good examples, and a fair bit closer to Aberdeen than Surrey

Hi,
I,ve got the same problem..

Last week I thought I had secured a Tuscan from a private buyer (not throught PH).

I set of early in the morning for 5-6 hour drive with a banker draft as payment for the car.

After driving for two hours I Got a Text from the seller telling me that he sold it last night.

I was gutted, I had cleared the garage told my mates, even my wife was excited about seeing the car so I guess it wasn't to be.

I had been looking for this colour combination for months so i think if it's a good one at the right price you have to drop everything and go see it ASAP.

Back to the classifieds.......

I dont know if my yellow one is the colour combination you were looking for, but if we are both looking for a quick sale, I can be negotiable on the price! Also being in Warrington im not too far from Scotland... Its in classifieds, let me know!

Also try Alan MacDonald sportscars near Dalkeith. He was Brandon motors and Scotland's main TVR dealer before Logik (now defunct) took over. He usually has a couple of Tuscs for sale, and sold mine for me before I left Scotland.

The only official Scottish dealer now is Glenvarigill in Fife. I would support the guy who suggested V8 Sports & Classics. Noel is a pillar of the Scottish TVR community and although he doesn't sell cars, he does tend to know who is selling what, the history of many Scottish TVRs and is good for getting cars inspected before you buy. If you want to travel further, Hexham Horseless Carriages in Northumberland always have a good selection of all models and they are very friendly to deal with. They have current stock on their website.

AFAIK it is Glenvarigill in Perth. They told me they have the dealership for the next 18 months and then TVR would be taking the dealership back and concentrating on a few TVR owned regional centres or a main Blackpool outlet.
