How long from UK Port to OPC?

Hi, hope someone can help.
I’ve been advised that my delayed 911 GTS recently left the factory and arrived in Grimsby on Monday (I’m in Leeds so cars for the north of England are shipped to Grimsby). I’d like to collect the car as soon as possible but my OPC says it hasn’t been allocated to a transporter yet and as the Porsche system is so archaic (how words, not mine), he has no way of knowing when it will arrive; he says it will probably be in the next couple of days, but can’t make any promises.
How does this compare with others? How long have your cars been stuck at the port of entry, and do you get updates from your dealer along the way?
I find it hard to believe that the Porsche system is so bad in this respect. If I order a £10 DVD on Amazon, I get an email to inform me when it’s been sent and I can track it every step of the way. However, order a much more expensive car, and you get nothing.
I don’t suppose that there’s really much I can do, but it’s so frustrating knowing that my new toy is only 70 miles away, but as yet I have no idea when I’m going to be able to collect it.
