Cayenne Turbo ... running costs?

I'm considering buying a used Cayenne (2010-). I'm v tempted to go for the Turbo. There are quite a few of these advertised c £30-40k. However, I popped into an OPC last week and the sales guy suggested running costs were at least double that of the diesels. Not just fuel, but servicing/consumables etc too
He told me to expect 15mpg and big bills. Is it really this thirsty, even driving sedately on >50 mile runs?
Anyone that's has one/has owned one, I'd be really interested to know their experiences on running costs. (I've searched forums and can't fund much info.)
Would never expect it to be a cheap car to run, but would at least like to go into it with my eyes open.
